Both vehicles are equipped with powerful engines, but their abilities are slightly different. The Jeep Grand Cherokee has the 295-HP 3.6L Pentastar® V6 while the Ford Explorer comes with the 280-HP 2.3L I-4 engine. Additionally, the Jeep Grand Cherokee is equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission while the Explorer only has a 6-speed automatic transmission. Both vehicles are available with a 4×2 or 4×4 drivetrain depending on your driving needs.
